Ofset Printing
Ofset printing remains the global gold standard for commercial, high-volume production, renowned for its unmatched color fidelity, crisp detail, and cost efficiency at scale. The technique relies on the classic lithographic principle that oil and water do not mix. Digital artwork is separated into the four primary process colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) or custom Pantone formulations, with each color laser-etched onto an individual aluminum plate. In the press, an ink roller applies oil-based ink to the image areas while dampening rollers apply water to the non-image areas. The inked design is then transferred—or “offset”—onto a flexible rubber blanket cylinder before being pressed onto the paper substrate.
Printing Process
Digital CMYK designs are laser-etched onto individual thin aluminum plates using Computer-to-Plate (CTP) technology.Press cylinders apply a water-based dampening solution to repel ink from non-image areas while oil-based inks adhere to the graphics.
